Wisconsin Residential Energy Code Review

This 1-hour session concentrates on the residential energy conservation requirements of Chapter SBS322 as written in the Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Code. The presentation is be a high-level review of the currently adopted residential energy code and amendments.

Wisconsin Residential HVAC Equipment Sizing

This 1.5-hour course discusses the ACCA design process, Manual J load calculation process & modeling, which is the first step in sizing equipment properly, Manual S over-sizing provisions, available software tools to carry out Manual S calculations, and ends with a case study demonstrating how the Manual J and Manual S process works.

Wisconsin Residential Heating and Insulation

Insulating homes properly is an important part of improving the overall energy efficiency of our homes. This 1-hour course helps us better understand why insulation is needed and how insulation works.

Wisconsin Residential Infiltration and Air Sealing

This 1.5-hour course reviews the build science and building code requirements as they pertain to proper air sealing of buildings and homes.  It highlights the common areas of air leakage within a structure and how to mitigate or minimize that leakage, and touches on the lesser-known areas of concern.
