Blower Door and Duct Tightness Testing Demonstration- Fox Valley Area

The Wisconsin Energy Code Technical Advisor will be demonstrating three common Energy Diagnostic Tests:

• Blower Door Air Infiltration Test
• Duct Leakage To Outside Test 
• Total Duct Leakage Test

SPS 322.37 requires either a Visual Inspection or an infiltration number of 7 Air Changes/Hour. SPS 322.43 requires a duct tightness test be conducted at either rough-in or post construction if any part of the duct system is outside of conditioned space. These demonstrations are intended to show that the testing procedures are simple and widely used across the industry. They will occur in newly completed homes, so to keep the spaces clean, all attendees must wear provided shoe coverings.

Please Note:

• Attendees must bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety boots, and any other required gear.
• A waiver must be signed on-site on the day of the demonstration.
